Scalp Diverse is a South Wales UK based company, providing Scalp Micropigmentation. Owner and SMP specialist Michelle, Strives to provide you with a treatment that will not only give you natural looking results, but also restore confidence.
Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is a life changing, non invasive hair loss treatment.
Treatment involves depositing natural carbon based pigment into the upper dermal layers of the scalp. Micro fine needles are used to replicate the appearance of real hair follicles, giving the illusion of a fuller head of hair.
SMP is suitable for all types of hair loss, in both men and women

"Hi , I'm Michelle.
Art is my passion and always will be, it is good for the soul and it took me on a journey that led me into the world of Scalp Micropigmentation.
I graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2003 with a 2:1 honours bachelor degree in Theatre design. I specialised in painting the scenery and making the props for Theatre and TV.
On completing my degree, I became a teaching assistant and covered teachers PPE, where I had the freedom to teach Art and Design and Technology.
From here I went on to complete a PGCE in Secondary Design Technology Education, where I went on to teach across many schools in and around the Bridgend area.
One day I stumbled upon SMP on social media and just had this huge interest in the creativity it involved whilst also changing peoples lives for the better. This fascinated me and I knew that with my creativity and passion I wanted to become an SMP artist. I researched SMP endlessly before delving in to training with the best trainers and never looked back.
SMP has given me a creative mojo , and at the same time, changing peoples lives and restoring their confidence , whilst allowing me to do what I love doing best".

Yes! SMP can produce natural looking results. Here at Scalp Diverse, your Artist will use specialist needles and pigment combined with skilled techniques to create an effective natural look.
Due to SMP being a process and density being built up over a series of sessions it is undetectable to others, and does not attract any undue attention.
Generally SMP is carried out over a minimum of 3 sessions, with each session lasting between 2-4 hours. Once session 1 is complete, there is a healing process of 7-10 days before session 2 is carried out. Then a break of 3-4 weeks between session 2 and session 3.
Scalp Micropigmentation is a form of permanent make up / cosmetics, which typically lasts 4-6 years. Fading can naturally occur before this , at which time the client has the option of a touch up session.
Generally most clients experience a pain of around 3-4 on a scale of 1-10. This is far less painful than a conventional tattoo.
Yes, Scalp Micropigmentation is an excellent treatment for camouflaging scaring, including FUE/FUT, as long as scaring is fully healed.
SMP can also be used for adding further density after a hair transplant procedure.
Scalp Micropigmentation is non invasive and requires no down time, meaning you can return to work the same day, should you need to.
After treatment it is normal to expect some redness to the scalp, but this will subside within a few hours.
