Welcome to Scalp Diverse. I’m Michelle, owner, scalp micropigmentation artist and trainer. My work brings together a lifelong passion for art, an eye for detail and a commitment to helping people feel more confident in their appearance.

My background is in art and education. I hold a BA (Honours) degree in Theatre Design, awarded at 2:1, and a PGCE in teaching Art, Design and Technology. Having worked in education since 2004, I bring patience, clear communication and a supportive approach to both my treatments and training.

I first discovered scalp micropigmentation (SMP) in early 2018 and was immediately fascinated by the precision involved and the difference it could make to someone’s confidence. After extensive research, I decided to train in the industry, building Scalp Diverse alongside my full-time career before becoming a full-time SMP artist.

Although I haven’t personally experienced hair loss, working closely with my clients has shown me how deeply it can affect their lives. I take the time to listen, understand each person’s concerns and support them throughout their treatment. Being trusted to play a part in that journey is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.

My focus is on creating natural-looking results, with care and attention to every detail. Many of my clients find Scalp Diverse through personal recommendations—a reflection of the relationships I build and the care I put into each treatment.

Alongside my client work, I draw on my teaching experience to train aspiring SMP artists, helping them develop their skills, confidence and understanding of thoughtful client care.

In March 2023, Scalp Diverse received a Business Growth Award for Customer Service Excellence. This recognition, together with our five-star client reviews, means a great deal to me and reflects the standard of service I strive to provide. Since then we have won several awards, being recognised for our quality of work and expertise within the industry
